Functional description
The availability of a high quality ECAD Library is a critical key in achieving first time right implementations of complex electronic designs. As an ECAD-Librarian it will be your responsibility to build and maintain models to be entered into an ECAD Library, to facilitate schematic entry and PCB-layout activities during the development of electronic designs.
As an ECAD Librarian you will be responsible for the availability en the end-quality of the provided models that allow electronic hardware engineers to reach their goals, and meet customer demands. Commitment and accuracy are keywords in performing your task as a Librarian.
Responsibilities and tasks
Making component data available for schematic entry and PCB layout by means of an ECAD based Library in a timely manner, this is done by:
- Creation or verification of footprints to represent the component physical characteristics.
- Creation or verification of electronic symbols to represent the component logical function.
- Release of the Integration of these symbols and footprints within a part definition to make the requested components accessible.
- Maintaining consistency of all data elements within the ECAD Library
- Guaranteeing the highest level of QA within the ECAD Library of the processed data
- Provide feedback on a when needed basis on status, planning and quality of Library based components
- Participate within task-force driven actions to improve Library Quality on an as needed bases.
- Perform QA on Library data using guidelines, international standards and internal documentation.
Required skills
- Experience and good understanding of dealing with component datasheets
- Experience with, or good understanding of schematic designs
- Experience with or good understanding of PCB layout
- Knowledge of DFM/DFT terms and practices
- Some knowledge of Supply Chain terms and practices
- Familiarity with Windows operating system and office applications
- Good knowledge of both Dutch and English in writing and speaking.
